Terms of Service

1. Description of Service

BlizzLeaf operates an online marketplace connecting homeowners in the Cincinnati, Ohio area with independent contractors who provide outdoor property services, including lawn mowing, snow removal, power washing, and leaf & yard debris removal. Pricing is calculated based on the actual square footage of the area you select using our property measurement tool.

BlizzLeaf is a marketplace, not a service provider. We facilitate the connection between customers and contractors and process payment on the contractor's behalf, but the contractors who complete your service are independent third parties, not employees or agents of BlizzLeaf. See Section 6 below.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and located within our current service area (Cincinnati, Ohio and surrounding areas we serve) to book a service through BlizzLeaf.

3. Booking and Payment

When you book a service, you will:

1. Select a service type
2. Trace the relevant area of your property using our mapping tool, which calculates square footage
3. Receive a price calculated from that square footage and our published per-service rates
4. Optionally add a tip, 100% of which goes to the contractor who completes your job
5. Provide contact information, service address, and a preferred date/time
6. Complete payment through Stripe, our payment processor

Pricing accuracy.You are responsible for accurately tracing the area you'd like serviced. Significant discrepancies between the traced area and the actual property may result in a need to adjust pricing, which we will communicate with you before the job is completed.

Snow removal pricing. Snow removal pricing includes an automatic adjustment based on recent snowfall depth at your property's location, and is only available seasonally (approximately November through March).

4. Cancellation and Refund Policy

• Cancellations made 24 hours or more before your scheduled service date are eligible for a full refund.
• Cancellations made less than 24 hours before your scheduled service date are not eligible for a refund, but you may reschedule at no additional charge, subject to contractor availability.
• If a scheduled service cannot be completed due to weather conditions outside anyone's control, you will be offered a free reschedule rather than a refund.

5. Your Responsibilities

As a customer, you agree to:

• Provide accurate property, contact, and payment information
• Ensure the traced service area is accessible to the contractor on the scheduled date
• Communicate any special instructions or access issues in advance
• Treat contractors with respect and professionalism

6. Independent Contractor Relationship

Contractors who complete services booked through BlizzLeaf are independent contractors and are not employees, partners, or agents of BlizzLeaf. BlizzLeaf does not supervise or control the manner in which contractors perform their work. While we take reasonable steps to facilitate a positive experience, BlizzLeaf is not responsible for the acts, omissions, negligence, or misconduct of any independent contractor, including but not limited to property damage, personal injury, or incomplete work.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, BlizzLeaf's total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of our services is limited to the amount you paid for the specific booking giving rise to the claim. BlizzLeaf is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

8. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to use BlizzLeaf to submit false information, attempt to circumvent our payment system, harass contractors or staff, or use the platform for any unlawful purpose.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of BlizzLeaf after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of BlizzLeaf will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Ohio.
