BlizzLeaf ("BlizzLeaf," "we," "us," or "our") operates a marketplace connecting homeowners in Cincinnati, Ohio with independent contractors for outdoor property services, including lawn mowing, snow removal, power washing, and leaf & yard debris removal. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

By using our website or booking a service through BlizzLeaf, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

Contact information. When you join our waitlist or book a service, we collect your name, email address, and phone number.

Service and property information. To calculate pricing and coordinate your service, we collect your property's address and the boundary you draw on our interactive map tool, which we use to calculate square footage. This boundary data is stored so it can be shared with the contractor completing your job.

Payment information. Payments are processed by Stripe, our third-party payment processor. We do not directly collect or store your full card number. Stripe's own privacy policy governs how they handle your payment details.

Booking details. We store your selected service, preferred date and time, pricing, and any tip amount.

Automatically collected information. Our website may collect basic technical information such as your IP address and browser type through our hosting and infrastructure providers, for security and operational purposes.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Calculate accurate, square-footage-based pricing for your requested service
  • Process payments and send booking confirmations
  • Coordinate and share necessary job details (including your property boundary, address, and contact information) with the contractor assigned to your job
  • Communicate with you about your booking, including confirmations, updates, and support
  • Improve and maintain our website and services
  • Comply with legal obligations

3. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as follows:

  • With contractors: When you book a service, the contractor assigned to your job receives the information necessary to complete it — your name, contact information, service address, property boundary/map, and job details.
  • With service providers: We use third-party companies to operate our platform, including:
    • Stripe — payment processing
    • Supabase — database and data storage
    • Resend — transactional email delivery (booking confirmations)
    • Mapbox — mapping, address search, and satellite imagery for the property measurement tool
    • Open-Meteo — weather data used to calculate snow removal pricing (this integration does not share your personal information, only property coordinates for weather lookup)

    Each of these providers has access only to the information needed to perform their function and is bound by their own privacy and security practices.

  • For legal reasons: We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of BlizzLeaf, our users, or others.

4. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as necessary to provide our services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. If you'd like your information deleted, contact us using the information below.

5. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us at hello@blizzleaf.com. We will respond to reasonable requests in a timely manner, subject to any records we're legally required to retain (e.g., payment records for tax purposes).

6. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including restricting database access and using secure, encrypted payment processing through Stripe. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Age Requirement

You must be 18 years of age or older to use BlizzLeaf.
